 OBJETIVO:
Comprender la dinámica y función de los conectores (sentence connectors) que relacionan las diferentes oraciones en un texto.

SENTENCE CONNECTORS (Part A)
Los CONECTORES son palabras o frases que se usan para expresar relaciones entre ideas o para combinar frases entre sí.
Ejemplo: en la frase I work in the mornings and study in the afternoons, la palabra and relaciona ambas frases.

7.1Sentence connectors showing ADDITION:

AND = y
AS WELL AS = y también,
IN ADDITION, MOREOVER, FURTHERMORE = además,
ADDITIONALLY = adicionalmente,
IN ADDITION TO = además de.
LIKEWISE = asimismo
SIMILARLY = igualmente


7.2. Example:
I like red apples. I like green apples.

I like red apples AS WELL AS green apples.
I like red apples IN ADDITION, I like green apples.

7.5. SENTENCE CONNECTORS SHOWING OPPOSITION

BUT = pero,
ALTHOUGH, EVENTHOUGH, THOUGH = aunque,
HOWEVER, NEVERTHELESS = sin embargo,
DESPITE THE FACT THAT, DESPITE, IN SPITE OF = a pesar de.

7.6. Example: She is hungry. She doesn’t want to eat lunch.

She is hungry, BUT she doesn’t want to eat lunch. 
ALTHOUGH she is hungry, she doesn’t want to eat lunch.
EVENTHOUGH she is hungry, she doesn’t want to eat lunch.
THOUGH she is hungry, she doesn’t want to eat lunch.
